The Barr Brothers - BUY THIS CD NOW

I just love it when I discover a new album that wont let me take it out of my CD player (yes CD's - i for one dislike compressed music). The New Barr Brothers CD is my new go to. Yet another side project from the Slip boys - this one is a group they founded in their new haunt of Montreal and showcases Brad Barr's soft, intuitive, folky side - think equal parts Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen and Nathan Moore with some African polyrhythms and ball- busting blues thrown in for good measure. The arrangements, filled out by brother Andrew (drums, percussion, toys), Sarah Page (Harp, not Harmonica, Harp) and Miles Perkin (Keys, Bass) on this album bring new textures and depth to the guitar based songs that Ive seen Brad play solo many a time; making this album perfect for quiet evenings, sipping whiskey on your back porch.

I'm not going to review it because I'm sick of album reviews, they are mostly subjective and pretentious and written by morons.
