This is why I hate people/press using chart positions to validate a band

Until recently the top 3 artists with the most number of charted singles in music history were 1. Elvis (108) 2. James Brown (91) and of course, 3. The Beatles with 71 - not bad considering they (technically) only had a 7 year career. Makes sense, right? Well now, according to Rolling Stone, the Beatles have been bumped out of the top three by Glee, a fucking television show.

Now i have never seen a full episode of Glee and I think Jane Lynch is hilarious so I can't knock something I haven't tried but i can say this.....Billboard numbers and units sold DO NOT fucking matter! Stupid people buy terrible music all day long. Parents buy 13 year olds shitty music to shut them up and people that don't want to think happily lap up the latest shit pie baked for the lowest common denominator found on the iTunes home page. Yes, the likes of Creed, Nickelback and the Jonas Brothers have sold millions but does that mean they are any kind of representation of music in the world? NO. Its shit like this that makes me so mad - Nathan Moore just turned 40 years old and tours the country with the aid of public transportation and friends couches while living out of a duffel bag while the Nickelback argue over what jet to take to which vacation home they want to visit this week(well, probably). Wake up America! Music is not a bag of Doritos and a microwave dinner, try going to a farmer's market for once in your life.
